But the good news is that the answer to this question will definitely be one you will like XD

Now for the Mishima style electrical charge back layer FX!
If you are a Goldsaint and are lucky enough to have a copy of CancerManXIII's custom character Shin Venom Ryu Lvl2, You will be familiar with his unique charging animation technique which includes both front and back lightning layers.
We are going for the same thing except much more in depth custom fx!
So here is what I have designed:

Except there's still something missing! the One last icing on the cake!

and to finish the week off with a bang, a special taste of the next layer of epicality on this charge

Alright now...for the final piece of the Power charge Puzzle....the REAL icing on the cake...
Now, it wouldn't be a Newagemugen level master creation if we didnt tie the effects in with our story and theme of the Battlecry Retribution screenpack!
Which is the cybernetic futuristic tactical Buddha technology!
And what I want to do, is add thew ancient Sanskrit Bonji sacred symbols of the Training stage NIOH guardian statue and other Buddha gods onto the charge fx.
If you don't know what symbols I am referring to, it is these ancient Buddhist symbols called Bonji:

So my idea is to have them added to the cybercore spinner layer effect and as he charges, they will appear and enter his core
during the charge.
So first I have prepared the transparent sacred symbols like this:

Power charge FX upgrade Animations!

Now one thing I may have forgotten to mention is that the video footage you have been seeing up to now
is heavily compressed and lower quality resolution than the actual raw in game version sprites,
which you will see in action very shortly!
Now the final 2 steps we have to do, is the nitty gritty recoding and importing of the effects, and also the SOUND FX!
So lets really get some hours in at the temple and finish this bad boy off!

Not much visually to see here, just thought i'd share some inside footage of the inner workings of creating the power charge effects
lo.. lots of little parts and individual sounds at work here to really add that original feel

and code this all up!

One other thing I forgot to mention is, I am adding some additional envshake fx on the coding so the screen will tremble
during matches whenever you power up lol.

And now for the final Icing on the cake.
The Characters normal in game Aura....

All of the 4 Cipher warriors in the Battlecry Cryogenesis Training Realm
have been training for so many 100s of years now that their power is beyond the normal
levels of their regular world counterparts.
For that reason, they get their own special Auras.
Now for Hiryu, I am thinking of using the cybernetic cubes as a sample data for his aura.
Luckily this is a quick fix as I am reusing the code we created for
the Venom Warriors that CancerManXIII requested at the start of the year.
The sprites I am working on will be a little something like this

And with that my good friends, I am happy to say now, that Our first Battlecry Main Character, is 100% Complete!
Now All that is left to do, is to create the Upload package and get that Exclusive Download link out to the good sir Grayfox, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], Oxocube, & [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], our Goldsaint Members that made this Impossible and ambitious creation possible!

The plan is, to release all 4x the special Battlecry characters together in a Megadownload pack together with the Cryogenesis Training stage

But as you know, in order to continue with the project and really take this to the extreme,
we have to apply all of these special mods and high quality HD special effects and custom codes, to our other 3 Mystery warriors.....

Back to the mountain we go!

In the meantime I have updated the progress tracker for our project. we are now over 160 Hours into this!

Now that our 1st main character is out of the way,
It's time to move on to the 2nd one.

And I can't think of any better addition to Battlecry Retribution than a tribute to one
of the original Newagemugen/Club Syndicate OG creations that was a true underground classic....
yes you got it, our 2nd cyber ninja, Cypher Guy Lvl2! Inspired by Immortal Syn's Original Dragon Guy

As you can see, I have already added his new default Cyber Ninja Palette which is part a tribute to Dragon Guy.
(If you don't know about Dragon Guy and Immortal Syn, you will have to do some ancient Mugen research :) )

You know what comes next, as we've done all this before, so lets get busy!
Step one is of course importing and coding the Palette selector system we created for Hiryu.
Then after that, our 12 custom cipher Palettes.

It is of excellent quality.
Looking at the added FX, I am amazed at what you can do with mugen to do this.
