I'm hella late to my own thread lol for some reason i stopped getting email updates, but anywho. I love the color scheme it is spot on and i dig the shape of the turns mode, its unique. My only comment/critique is the accents seem a bit big/thick imo but i also realize its still a wip and im not seein the whole picture. Im digging it tho

Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad that you mentioned that detail, I was going to talk about this specifically later on once I finished the 3 modes but since we are talking about it now I can show you.
It is definitely quite big, however I can show you why from reference point:

I created the accents based on the exact 1280x720 screen measurements for the Blazblue bars - as you can see, i made sure to match the accents in size and screen space down to the nearest pixel.
The way I am building the lifebar accents means that it can be altered anytime, and even resized if needed.

"better to have too much than too little". Is easier to remove things later t hat are not needed than it is to remake or add new things.
After the turns mode and and tag portraits and other parts are all done, we can relook at it and you can see how you would like me to alter or reduce it.
We can make it look however you like it too look so that's no issue. Also transparency and color and effects I will add to these accents once I have got it all working inside your screenpack.

Also I wanted to show you the updates I have made. I actually decided to totally rebuild everything from scratch as I wasn't happy with a few details in regards to the glass and reflection on the bars.
I wanted you to see how I have incorporated the theme of your screenpack menus with the killer instinct purple hexagons.
I have made it so that when the Bars HP decreases, the empty space will have a holo hexagon background underneath the glass

Now that all 3 variant mode bar designs are complete
I decided that I will use the left side bar for Single mode, and the right side for turns mode.
You will understand why once I start with the portraits.

Also I have tested all the bar mode combinations on screen to make sure they all fit and look right whenever two player select a different ratio option.

Mapped out the power bar sizing and screen space.
GOing to be incorporating a custom sphere system as per your preferences.
There is a trick that I can use to make the Meter charge numbers look like they are inside of the orb aswell.

font style i am going for a semi Blazblue/semi Street Fighter/KOF style - i went back and looked at some older games for style research.
The color I chose can be changed of course, but I want to use an off-yellow font in combination with what I plan for the power orbs

This looks very Kool man, eating my popcorn. You sir is on a roll, now will it have like a glow on certain areas of the bars themselves. Looking forward to seeing the next phase.

This is the concept for the accents and the sf4 type sphere that the power meter fonts will be on. I have more stuff to.add.on it before i add the bars on it

Bringing in the new year with style

Now I added the 2 parts together and updated the spheres.
I will do some techniques with the layers to make the numbers show inside the spheres and next also I will create the full meter in maybe blue first

i created the meter energy and i have started creating the portraits system for the 2 vs 2 faces.
I wanted to make it detailed, so there are 2 types for 2 vs 2 mode.
Player 1 and 2 use 9000,6 (at the top)
Players 3 and 4 use 9000,7 (at the bottom)
They slant into the power bars.
I wanted to keep your hexagon killer instinct theme, but i didnt want to overuse green and purple too much as it clashes with the rest of design so I made the BG for the faces blue, but it can be changed to any color if need be.

As you can see finished coding and scaling the Player names.
I used a test name that is extra long to make sure that atleast 90% of all character names will fit perfectly even if they are extra long.

Also did the same for the timer font.
Combo fonts are now positioned inside the SFIV style sphere orbs.
Now i basically need to do the same thing for the 1v1 and turns bars

Yes its certainly taking shape.
I have updated the 1 v 1 bar mode now. And added the portraits and fonts.

Also, if you look at the accents at the top you will see that I added the round wins icon buttons on ther now too and coded it.
At forst i was going to leave them at the top like your old lifebar, but i decided that because you are a fan of the old style street fighter classic bars which always have them below the life meter, i would do the same.
Now i will do the turns mode systems

So here is the turns mode portraits i finished setting up. now all i have to do for those, is create the marker icon that will show up on top of the defeted team members face after a round.

it sends heavy the colors are nicely chosen and the life bars are at the top.
