Make those signs on the left neon glowing in the letters all randomized, make the moon glow, animate the clouds, maybe have the MK paper flowing randomly about, perhaps a light fog?

Boy this looks great. I think GLB gave a lot of good ideas. Its the same direction I would take this stage....

Like a single sprite animated to flash, or you could use the AS technique and have it fade in and out. Tumbleweed would be cool.

I'm starting to dislike smoke/fog. They're just so over-used that they remind me of that Sengoku Basara X floor.
As for the coyote idea, maybe i'll add some coyote howls in the BGM.

Yeah, fog nor smoke will always work. But if you're going with it, go with something dark.

Also could you add someglow to the head eye?

I'm making this stage because I downloaded a Hi-res Amegakure stage from MFFA.
Let's just say that I was too disappointed with what the dude did with the awesome images.

Planned stuff:
- Darkening layer
- Rain
- Animated Puddles
- Lots of flickering lights
- Reflective effect from the flickering lights
- Lightning
- Sprites change look when lightning plays, turning black and white
- Konan will be seen in the sky in her "Angel" form when the lightning plays, and she vanishes as the lightning animation stops
- Statue's eyes become red when the lightning plays
- Smoke on the right side of the stage to cover up the distorted perspective, but i'm not sure if i'm going with that
- Flying birds (GLB, could I please borrow some of your codes?)
- Sparks?
- Intro (Camera starts from the top and goes down, thanks for the suggestion, Gen!)
- I still don't have a suitable BGM (GEEEEEEN! lol)

I honestly don't know what else to add.
